The Foundry serves as Cleveland’s Community Rowing & Sailing Center impacting the lives of our community’s youth by providing access to the unique experiences of both rowing and sailing.  As a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic and State of Ohio Responsible Restart initiatives, the Foundry responded by adding to it's programming community small group sailing and individualized rowing equipment.  

The necessity to keep both smaller pods and individualized programming in the forefront has mandated more coaching, safety boats, additional safety support gear, and as always, a continuous rotation of maintenance to all fleets.

Looking toward the ongoing demand and the need for added support, additional qualified staff for our programs remains a priority. The Foundry aspires to keep our experiential participants, training athletes, coaching staff and volunteers, supported through all four seasons of training and programming. The Foundry remains vigilent with it's sanitization protocols at both campus locations. while keeping current with local, county, state and national governing bodies recommendations.

In the spirit of enabling new and aspiring student-athletes to find the excitement and challenges of rowing and sailing, the Foundry continues to offer financial assistance. Throughout 2021 we have seen an increase of extenuating (hardship) circumstances and requests. If you would like your donation to go directly towards assisting with a rower or sailors ability to participate, please let us know, and we’ll be happy to attribute any amount given specifically to the financial assistance fund.

Please consider supporting the Foundry's work to engage Cleveland's youth as active daily stewards of our river and lake communities.  By donating here you will help make rowing and sailing a wonderful learning opportunity and a great reality for our community in the foundational building years ahead. By compassionately supporting the coaching of today’s youth towards mastering the elements found within rowing and sailing, the Foundry along with mother nature is able to provide a constructive on water, open air environment, that both challenges and excites. Together with our partnerships, the Foundry creates positive pathways for our young emerging leaders, intentionally guiding the next generation with teamwork and confidence while building outcomes that are reflective of themselves, each other, and the future of Greater Cleveland.
